SPRING CLEANSE: A JOURNEY OF NOURISHMENT AND RENEWAL

IN COLLABORATION WITH ALEXIA POTAMITOU, CLINICAL DIETITIAN/NUTRITIONIST

As the days grow longer and the earth softens with the warmth of spring, we find ourselves drawn to the quiet, simple act of renewal. This cleanse is a gentle invitation to slow down, to pause, and to nourish both body and mind with intention and care.

We are happy to be partnering up with Alexia Potamitou, a dietitian with deep knowledge in nutrition and Ayurvedic practices. Alexia’s mission is to educate and encourage healthy, mindful living by helping others embrace the concept that we are a product of what we eat and how we treat ourselves.

Istorja has hosted AP Kitchen cleanses for quite some time now, and as you go through the cleanse, you will realize that it is a testament to the power of organic, whole foods. In just three days, you will reap the benefits of over 50 different vegetables, healing spices, herbs, and adaptogens. You will not find any seed oils, gluten, dairy, refined sugar, or other common inflammatory triggers.

Rooted in Ayurvedic principles, Alexia has crafted this cleanse with the aim to reconnect with the body’s natural rhythms and the season’s abundant offerings. It’s an opportunity to give ourselves space—to reset, refresh, and restore with thoughtfully crafted, seasonal foods that support us on a deeper level. This is not about quick fixes or extreme measures, but rather a return to what feels natural, balanced, and restorative.

Nourishment with Intention

The Spring Cleanse focuses on wholesome, anti-inflammatory foods that nourish the body and support its natural processes. We begin with simple, yet deeply fulfilling meals—fresh vegetables, herbal teas, and nourishing broths—all thoughtfully prepared to enhance digestion, boost energy, and support the microbiome.

Over the course of three days, the cleanse gently encourages us to remove excess animal-based foods, processed ingredients, and added sugars, and replace them with foods that promote vitality and balance. With each meal, we are reminded that true nourishment isn’t about restriction; it’s about honoring the body’s needs with care and presence.

These cleanses follow Alexia’s instructions to the letter and are prepared in Istorja’s kitchen with love and care. We are not just giving recipes for people to prepare at home, as we believe that the care, intention, and thoughtfulness behind each meal is part of the experience—a process that we are proud to share with both our community and Alexia’s community as well.

Here’s a glimpse into the simple yet nourishing meals included in our Spring Cleanse:

  1. Morning Detox Tonics with Probiotics & Chlorophyll

  2. Matcha Chia Puddings

  3. Seasonal Salads with Fresh Dressings

  4. Herbal Teas (Hibiscus Lemongrass + Chamomile Chai)

  5. Vegan Broth

  6. Dinner Smoothies

A Moment of Reflection

True to its Ayurvedic roots, the Spring Cleanse also offers an opportunity to cleanse more than just the body. As we give our digestive system a well-deserved rest, old emotions and memories may rise to the surface. This is part of the healing process, as our bodies release what no longer serves us. It is in this quiet space that we have the chance to reflect and allow ourselves to feel, to be present with the emotions that surface.

This cleanse is not just about eating differently; it’s about embracing the process with mindfulness, honoring both the physical and emotional aspects of wellness. With gentle awareness, we can reset not just our habits, but our mindset—allowing ourselves the time to be still and to restore.

A Community of Care

At Istorja House, nourishment is a shared journey. Our community supports one another, embracing the collective power of slowing down and being present together. The positive feedback we’ve received reminds us of the healing power of connection.

"I feel lighter, more connected to myself," shared one participant. "The experience has allowed me to reset—not just physically, but emotionally as well."

"It was an amazing experience. I’m feeling stronger and more mindful," said another.

"Such a lovely feeling to wake up not bloated. I’m recharged and ready to embrace the next step," one participant reflected.

Through the Spring Cleanse, we nourish our bodies and deepen our connection to one another and to the seasons. It’s a reminder that when we take time for ourselves, we also connect more deeply with the world around us.
